New Music.

I get random inspiration a lot.
Yesterday, I found out my birthday this year falls on a Tuesday…
for those that don’t know, that’s the usual day of the week new CDs are released by most music artists.

So, I decided that I’m going to release an EP on my birthday this year.
I’ve been worried about taking too long to get my next full-length album out (because as of now I’m trying to get it done and ready by the end of this Fall, and that’s pretttty far away)…. so, I was planning on releasing a new EP anyway, but now I’m just going to release it much much earlier than expected.

Anyway,
the point of this is to say that on July 14th, 2009 I’ll be releasing my new EP titled Apples. The EP will have 5 to 7 brand new songs on it (I’m still deciding the tracklisting, I literally did just get this idea yesterday) and it will be available on iTunes and in a special physical pressing at my online store and my upcoming late summer tours.

This is all I’ll share for now. I’ve already got the album art ready (made it last night with some construction paper, my bedroom wall and a camera) but I’ll wait to let you see that when I have a tracklisting ready for you (which will hopefully be by this weekend!)
So this is an unofficial announcement, just wanted to give a heads up to the early birds that caught the post on my Twitter :)
